What a Winter Wonderland
This is one of the most popular trails that you have to visit. It’s a bit far way from the Vancouver core but it’s worth the drive. It takes about 2.5 to 3 hours drive to get to the trail head and you’ll have to fight for parking spot. There are 2 parking lots but normally both of them are full if you are heading there during weekends. Pro tip – Get there early, like 9/10AM in weekends! Weekdays are usually way less busy. The trail is about 9KM back and forth. You’ll be passing by 3 lakes along the way, but if you have the time and legs you can hike beyond the 3rd lake and up the hill (even to the glacier at the peak) and look back to the valley. I went there in March this time, so it’s basically still full of snow. I literally took a shortcut by walking across the lakes. I’ve also been there during the summer, which the scenery was also stunning.
