Far away from the cities but close enough to get to
Buntzen Lake is located in a small district named Anmore. It quite conuntry side but it’s not far away from the city of Coquitlam. It only takes about 30 to 45 minutes from the the city of Vancouver. The Buntzen Lake Trail is a 10km circular trail and it’s rated easy. It’s suitable for family or occupational hikers. You could hike further up north of the trail and reach out to the old Hydroelectric powerhouse that built in 1903. There is another powerhouse that built in 1914 nearby, however, it can only be reached by boat… Or you can swim there via Indian Arm 🤣 .
