Stairway to heaven
This is one of the popular trails around Chilliwack, B.C. The trail is rated as intermediate, but I find it quite challenging at some spots… like right at the trail head, the grain starts right there! Elevation gain of 803m in 4.5km, it’s actually quite steep. The steepest sections are the last couple kilometer. Take you time and grain to the top. I took like a million short rests there. But once you are in the alpine section, it’s flat and you are basically at the top of the trail. You can even hike further and reach the flag there, which is the very end of the trail. All in all, this trail is quite of a hike but it’s super worth it. Beautiful view looking of the Chilliwack city and ice cap mountain, it’s well worth the hard work!
